Teaching the subject as complex and taxing as genocide poses challenges to both students and educators. The symposium brings together educators, university instructors, and graduate students from Norway, Denmark, Sweden, and The Netherlands who will share their experiences of teaching about genocide. The practitioners in the field will discuss various methodologies meant to advance public awareness and knowledge of genocide. The symposium is open to the public. High school teachers in particular are encouraged to attend.
